SOAPnet Smoothie Tour Heads Downtown to OMD

Today we smoothified (yeah, it's a word, I just made it up but it's a word) ad agency OMD with the help of One Life to Live star Jean-Paul Lavoisier (known to some of you as Rex Balsom...now why couldn't I be named Rex Balsom?) We had to get our passports stamped and head all the way down to lower Broadway, which we managed just fine. Everyone spoke very understandable English and we had a great time! Next Monday we wrap up this year's SOAPnet Smoothie Tour at Mediavest. Until then....

Gathering a Smoothie Crowd at Division Ave. Caterers

Our friends at Levittown's Division Avenue Caterers sponsored an event for the community today and we provided smoothies for the local residents and business folks. It was a great event, despite the inevitable rain. Long Island's rock station Party 105.3 was there to create some noise.

Taking Initiative with Smoothies

It was Bobbie Eakes's turn to bestow the leis as we made our latest stop on the SOAPnet Smoothie Tour '09 at ad agency Initiative. Bobbie, an Emmy nominee who plays Krystal Martin on All My Children, was as friendly and charming in "real life" (as real as making smoothies in an elevator lobby of an office building is!) as she is on AMC. Next stop, OMD....but who knows what daytime SOAPnet star we'll be working with? Stay tuned.....

SOAPnet Smoothie Tour Stops at Carat

Our buddy Crishell Stause came over from the set of All My Children, where she plays the role of the thoughtful but fierce Amanda Dillon, to spread some SOAPnet good cheer at NYC ad agency Carat today. The SOAPnet Smoothie Tour '09 continues tomorrow at MediaEdge, where the celeb smoothie hostess will be.....oh, it's a secret til tomorrow.

SOAPnet Smoothies at Universal McCann

Those of you who peeked at the clue from last Friday's post about which daytime TV celebrity would be joining us for the SOAPnet Smoothie Tour this morning already know the answer. I'm sure thousands of you couldn't wait. Well, you don't get a surprise, then. It was Aiden Turner (aka Aidan Devane) from All My Children, who greeted the media folks from Universal McCann on the third stop of the Tour. Okay, here's a bit if trivia. Name the girl who plays the receptionist opposite Aiden in this scene from AMC. You may not recognize her name now, but wait a while...you will. A free Maui Wowi smoothie for the first correct answer...

Smoothie Tour Makes Whistle Stop at ZenithOptimedia

SOAPnet Smoothie Tour Day 2: We headed downtown (where the traffic is less crazy than 37th and 7th) to ZenithOptimedia. We were joined by One Live to Live star Melissa Archer, who plays Natalie Buchanan ("as fiery as her red hair") on the show. The media buyers from Zenith enjoyed our special tour flavors: Black Raspberry/Strawberry, Pina Colada with Banana, and frozen Cappuccino with Banana. Go on, be jealous! Next stop: Carat on Tuesday. Get thirsty, Carat! (And there will be a surprise celeb from All My Children. Sssshhh, don't tell!

The SOAPnet Smoothie Tour Continues!

How many years? We've lost count. But the SOAPnet Smoothie Tour rolls on. We kicked the '09 tour off with a visit to ad agency Mindshare. to promote SOAPnet for this year's upfront season. "JP", aka Jean-Paul Lavoisier who plays private investigator/nightclub owner Rex Balsom on One Life to Live, was flawless in his lei -ing of the media planners who came around for a Maui Wowi smoothie. We actually got to watch One Life live on the conference roomTV during the event so we saw JP in stereo! Next stop: Zenith Media tomorrow.
