Maui Wowi Helps Celebrate a 40th Wedding Anniversary

Marla and George Coleman own a great camp in Merrick Long Island, Coleman Country Day Camp. Today they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with about 100 friends. It was a great day and it was a lot of fun to be part of such a happy event!

Movie Night at Westminster Choir College

What a great way to kick off the new term--movies and Maui Wowi frozen coffee shakes! That was the menu at Westminster Choir College in NJ last night. It was a beautiful night under the stars--you'd never know what a mountain of work these kids have facing them come Tuesday!

Blenders were Burning at Haverford College

We always love bringing a new college into the Maui Wowi fold, and yesterday we did our first event for Haverford College, a great liberal arts school near Philadelphia. Our awesome crew pumped out 600+ smoothies in just a couple of hours to help kick off the academic year. Welcome to the Maui Wowi family, Haverford!

NYC Hotel's Health Fair Features Maui Wowi Smoothies

The Hudson Hotel on New York's west side held its annual employee health fair today on the 24th floor roof garden of the hotel. Overlooking the Hudson River to the west, Brooklyn to the South, and Manhattan's skyline to the North and East, the hotel's roof deck was a captivating location for the event, which featured blood pressure tests, acupuncture treatments, massage, nutrition consultations and more.

Stern College Gets New Semester Under Way with Smoothies

One of our favorite places to bring our smoothie bars is Stern College for Women in New York. Part of Yeshiva University, Stern is one of the best liberal arts and business colleges for Jewish women in the United States. They're always great to work with - each year we're assigned a new student president as our contact. So Sivan, thanks for getting us off to a great start of the academic year!

Auto Dealer Lures Visitors with Smoothies

The Atlantic Auto Mall Hyundai of West Islip, NY, was bustling with car buyers today because of a smart promotion--the dealership's annual luau event. Maui Wowi smoothies along with games and attractions turned what might have been a slow summer afternoon into a busy sales day. We're back tomorrow for a second time to serve more crowds!

Columbia University Employee Appreciation Day

Columbia University Medical Center had its first annual employee appreciation day and it was a huge success with enormous turnout. Our hats are off to the organizers--they put together a great afternoon of music and treats (Maui Wowi smoothies, Ben & Jerry's, a Belgian Waffle truck, a Dale & Thomas popcorn truck, a fancy dessert truck and more. The Maui Wowi line moved the fastest--it always does. We're a good item to have at events when the planner is looking for "grab and go". Not that a Belgian Waffle isn't worth the wait!

Huge (and Thirsty) Crowd for Company Party

Usually we're able to take a few pictures of our events. For Brown Brothers Harriman's annual family party in Central Park, we only managed one shot. We were too busy blending! The event drew about 1,000 employees and family members and we made that many or more frozen cocktails and smoothies. The fantastic food was provided by Relish Caterers, one of the best in New York.

Forest Labs Company Picnic - Smoothies for a Thousand!

The Glen Cove Mansion was the site of Forest Laboratories' annual Forest Field Day, and it was a spectacular day. Over a thousand Forest Lab people play tug of war, volleyball, practiced their swing in a batting cage, played bocce, and of course consumed over 2,000 Maui Wowi smoothies! We had three tiki bars set up around the magnificent grounds. New to our team are Claudia and Rodney from Queens. Working on their anniversary -- and she's pregnant! That's dedication.

Smoothie Promotion at Soho Clothing Shop

Want to do a great retail store promotion that provides customers something really different and draws people into the store? That's what the Ed Hardy store in Soho did for its "Green Event." The idea was to promote the store's very cool street wear and at the same time raise awareness about climate change. Representatives of Oxfam were there distributing information about the effects of global warming on the world's poor. Hundreds of customers had smoothies while they shopped--and one of our servers for the day lured people in from the heat with a refreshing Maui Wowi and a store full of wild merchandise.
