Make a Kids' Party Rock with Maui Wowi Smoothies

Yes, we do college events for thousands of students at a time...and corporate events for hundreds...as well as weddings, sweet 16s and graduations. But sometimes our smoothie parties are as simple as a setting up by the pool for a kid's birthday party like we did yesterday.

Employee Appreciation Day at Cablevision

When Cablevision decided to have a Hawaiian-themed employee appreciation event for their telemarketers on Long Island, they didn't mean the usual trinkets and plastic leis. They had amazing dancers who really got the Aloha spirit moving! Of course, our Maui Wowi smoothies didn't hurt!

Fun Friday at Samsung's Ad Agency

Chiel Communications, the US ad agency for Samsung, had a Hawaiian Friday for its staff today. The staff was treated to Maui Wowi smoothies AND a screening of Office Space, one of the funniest office-life movies ever. Great way to start the weekend!

Wheatley School Senior Class Send-Off Party

It was sweltering hot but the 150 or so Wheatley School seniors cooled off with Maui Wowi smoothies and partied all night for their farewell before summer vacation and college. Our ears are still ringing, courtesy of a really good DJ, High Voltage Productions. Best DJs we've ever heard!

Philadelphia Children's Hospital Staff Event

The Philadelphia Children's Hospital had its annual staff thank-you events at its NJ and PA locations yesterday and Maui Wowi was on hand for their Tropical Appreciation Day. The folks at Events Plus organized the events, which included our smoothies, steel drum band, great food, arts and crafts and tropical birds.

SOAPnet Shares Smoothies with the Minds at Mindshare

OK, we were never great headline writers. (Say it five times fast, we dare you.) Today's SOAPnet star helping us out at Mindshare was Farah Fath, who plays Gigi Morasco on One Life to Live. "With big dreams and a bigger heart, Gigi's smile and quick wit belie her constant struggle to make ends meet. Still, she'd gladly give anything she had to help a friend." Except her Black Raspberry smoothie. Here's the vid and some other fun shots:

SOAPnet Smoothie Tour Stops at McCann

Kamar de los Reyes was our soap star today for the SOAPnet Smoothie Tour stop at McCann Universal. Kamar did SOAPnet proud by properly lei-ing (is that a word?) all McCann media buyers who stopped by. What else would you expect of the man who plays Antonio Vega on One Life to Live, who is described as "strong, proud, romantic but equally hot tempered." While hearts skipped a beat and body temps rose, we cooled off the gang with strawberry banana, black raspberry and my fav, cappuccino...don't ask about the calories: if you need to ask you can't afford them. Delish.

SOAPnet Smoothie Tour Rolls On

The SOAPnet Smoothie Tour made a stop at ad agency Carat today and our celeb de jour was Jean-Paul Lavoisier, who plays bad-boy Rex Balsom on One Life to Live. The gals at Carat had about four smoothies apiece...just so they could come back and have one more moment with JP. I think there's a reality show in here somewhere!

The Annual SOAPnet Smoothie Tour Begins!

I think this is the fourth or fifth year of our venture with ABC Television to promote SOAPnet to New York ad agencies. It's become a June tradition and gets bigger and better every year. We kicked off yesterday at Zenith Media and today we visited Mediaedge:CIA. Tomorrow we hit Carat and in the next two weeks we'll visit McCann, Mindshare, OMB, Initiative and Mediavest. ABC's soap stars are joining us at the events, having some fun and doing the lei-work. The last two days we've worked with All My Children's Chrishell Stause (okay, see if you can guess how she got that name...visit her website to find out!). She was a good sport with the tough lei-bor. Okay I'll stop! Although we were a bit stumped when she went to put a lei around a guy's neck and said to him, "I have to lei you before you get your smoothie." To which he replied, totally deadpan, "No, I need to get back to my desk." Bad-UM-bum.
