It was a beautiful fall day in Jamaica, Queens for the St. John's University annual wellness event. We spent the profits on great breads, pies, cookies from Meredith's Bread of Kingston, NY. No regrets! We deserved it after pumping out 800 Maui Wowi smoothies in 3 hours.

Last year Bates College in Lewiston, Me., roasted a pig at its annual luau event. This year they invited Maui Wowi to make smoothies. City College of New York held its annual leadership retreat at a Milford, PA, campgrounds. Aside from going to the hinterlands to make Maui Wowi smoothies for their 150 student leaders, we saw our first black bear, who turned down our offer of a pina colada. No accounting for taste! We'll be seeing more of CCNY in a few weeks as well as Brooklyn College, Hunter, Bronx Community and many others in the CUNY system.

Doctor's in the House for SOAPnet Smoothie Tour

The SOAPnet Smoothie Tour made its hottest stop of the month today at ad agency MEC. The temp on the street hit 99. The humidity must have been, like, 160%. But inside it was all cool and refreshing. One Life To Live star Terrell Tilford (who plays Dr. Greg Evans) greeted the 100+ MEC media buyers with leis while Maui Wowi banged out the smoothies - strawberry, pina colada, frozen cappuccino with banana....yeah, it was really good. SOAPnet promotes its Upfront buying season by bringing Maui Wowi smoothies in to NYC ad agencies like Universal McCann. Kassie DePaiva (Blair Cramer) from One Live to Live joined the event to greet UM's media team.

Maui Wowi at a Bat Mitzvah

Maui Wowi brought smoothies and espresso drinks to a beautifully-done bat mitzvah yesterday. The theme was not Hawaiian but the event planner wanted our tiki bar anyway, just for the look of it. So even if your party is now island-themed, guests love our tiki bar. And we can modify it to use just the bar and not the thatch roof. The balloon arrangements were done by our friends at Life O'The Party.
