Fun Friday at Samsung's Ad Agency

Chiel Communications, the US ad agency for Samsung, had a Hawaiian Friday for its staff today. The staff was treated to Maui Wowi smoothies AND a screening of Office Space, one of the funniest office-life movies ever. Great way to start the weekend!

Wheatley School Senior Class Send-Off Party

It was sweltering hot but the 150 or so Wheatley School seniors cooled off with Maui Wowi smoothies and partied all night for their farewell before summer vacation and college. Our ears are still ringing, courtesy of a really good DJ, High Voltage Productions. Best DJs we've ever heard!

Philadelphia Children's Hospital Staff Event

The Philadelphia Children's Hospital had its annual staff thank-you events at its NJ and PA locations yesterday and Maui Wowi was on hand for their Tropical Appreciation Day. The folks at Events Plus organized the events, which included our smoothies, steel drum band, great food, arts and crafts and tropical birds.

SOAPnet Shares Smoothies with the Minds at Mindshare

OK, we were never great headline writers. (Say it five times fast, we dare you.) Today's SOAPnet star helping us out at Mindshare was Farah Fath, who plays Gigi Morasco on One Life to Live. "With big dreams and a bigger heart, Gigi's smile and quick wit belie her constant struggle to make ends meet. Still, she'd gladly give anything she had to help a friend." Except her Black Raspberry smoothie. Here's the vid and some other fun shots:

SOAPnet Smoothie Tour Stops at McCann

Kamar de los Reyes was our soap star today for the SOAPnet Smoothie Tour stop at McCann Universal. Kamar did SOAPnet proud by properly lei-ing (is that a word?) all McCann media buyers who stopped by. What else would you expect of the man who plays Antonio Vega on One Life to Live, who is described as "strong, proud, romantic but equally hot tempered." While hearts skipped a beat and body temps rose, we cooled off the gang with strawberry banana, black raspberry and my fav, cappuccino...don't ask about the calories: if you need to ask you can't afford them. Delish.

SOAPnet Smoothie Tour Rolls On

The SOAPnet Smoothie Tour made a stop at ad agency Carat today and our celeb de jour was Jean-Paul Lavoisier, who plays bad-boy Rex Balsom on One Life to Live. The gals at Carat had about four smoothies apiece...just so they could come back and have one more moment with JP. I think there's a reality show in here somewhere!

The Annual SOAPnet Smoothie Tour Begins!

I think this is the fourth or fifth year of our venture with ABC Television to promote SOAPnet to New York ad agencies. It's become a June tradition and gets bigger and better every year. We kicked off yesterday at Zenith Media and today we visited Mediaedge:CIA. Tomorrow we hit Carat and in the next two weeks we'll visit McCann, Mindshare, OMB, Initiative and Mediavest. ABC's soap stars are joining us at the events, having some fun and doing the lei-work. The last two days we've worked with All My Children's Chrishell Stause (okay, see if you can guess how she got that name...visit her website to find out!). She was a good sport with the tough lei-bor. Okay I'll stop! Although we were a bit stumped when she went to put a lei around a guy's neck and said to him, "I have to lei you before you get your smoothie." To which he replied, totally deadpan, "No, I need to get back to my desk." Bad-UM-bum.

Maui Wowi Smoothies Joins Princeton U Reunion

It was reunion day at Princeton and classes from as far back as 1938 were getting together this weekend on campus. We helped the Class of 1993 (and their many young children!) get their Aloha on with delicious smoothies. One particularly cool thing was the organizers' move to use only biodegradable and compostable cups. Bravo!

Hawaiian Backyard Party

We were in Connecticut yesterday for a Christening party/luau. It was on a spectacular 80-acre estate with picture perfect weather. Once we started, it didn't let up for four solid hours of tropical Maui Wowi smoothies and coffees! The food was amazing (not that I had time to try it, but it looked great!). Check out that roast pig!

Maui Wowi Smoothies for Client Appreciation Event

Maui Wowi smoothies make an ideal summertime client appreciation event. ICS Book-A-Limo, a global limo company based in New York, brought us into the office of one of their Manhattan clients, Consortium Tours of North America(CTN). The employees loved our service and flavors, and everyone had at least two! It's a unique way to say thanks to valued clients.

Espresso Makes Product Intro Special

We teamed up today with EVENTSTYLE, a creative event and production agency in New York, and the outstanding food creators of Hudson Yards Catering (check out the cupcakes) to bring some delicious espresso beverages to a product introduction event. The product was a new hair color treatment by Frederic Fekkai, who introduced it personally to the media writers. We made espressos, cappuccinos, lattes and Americanos for the fashion media who attended. Just another creative way to leverage Maui Wowi for something new, different and fun for product intro's.

Final Fever Carnival at Hunter College

The Maui Wowi college spring tour continues! Today we were at Hunter College in New York for their Final Fever Carnival. When I was in college, we didn't have parties around finals time. It was strictly business. Things have gotten better! Karaoke, photo booths, t-shirt creations, and smoothies of course, made for a great deal despite the 49 degree/rain outside. Thanks Jerrell and Julie for things so easy for us--you were great hosts!

Maui Jim & Maui Wowi Team Up For Sunglasses Promotion

Two great brands--Maui Jim eyewear and Maui Wowi smoothies teamed up today to promote a a Maui Jim trunk sale at Accent on Eyes, an eyewear store in Rockville Centre, NY. We set up outside the store and served customers as they walked in and out. It was a great tie-in that really helped bring attention to the sale.

Spring Smoothie Fun at Yeshiva University

Our arms are still recovering from pouring 1,200 smoothies at Yeshiva University in New York the other day. I am having my assistant type this from my dictation! A great group of kids--we always love working with them. And they rocked it out with a very cool band. Next week we'll be at the women's college downtown. We should be recovered by then ;-)

Spring Celebration at Suffolk Community College

Today was the kickoff of a week-long Spring Fling calendar at Suffolk County Community College in Riverhead, NY. It was a bit cool out on the patio but we warmed things up with our tropical magic!

Bat Mitzvah Smoothies

For Hana's bat mitzvah, of course the theme had to be Hawaiian. Our Maui Wowi tropical flavors were a big hit, as were our espressos, cappuccinos and lattes. We thought the coffees would be for the grownups, but the kids had their share of dressed-up espresso drinks--caramel lattes with whipped cream were the most popular.
