ABC Smoothie Tour Last Stop: Carat

It had to happen, the last stop on this year's ABC Upfront Smoothie Tour. The afternoon was not without drama. A flash lightening and thunderstorm erupted, as if the gods were angry that Maui Wowi didn't have a few more agencies to visit. Then 41st Street was closed off to a street fair, and we admit paying $9 for a lousy sausage onions and peppers on a roll. But the Maui Wowi smoothies upstairs at Carat were awesome as always. They'll be talking about the cappuccino banana until next June when we meet up again. Aloha!

ABC Smoothie Tour Tries on MediaVest

The last day of this year's ABC Upfront Smoothie Tour (all together now, awwwww!). Of course it was the most challenging of all of them -- a doubleheader with MediaVest in the morning and Carat in the afternoon -- but Maui Wowi's superior NYC driving skills (yes, at one point we did lean out of the window and tell a limo that wouldn't let us into a turning lane, "Go ahead, hit me -- your car's nicer than my truck!") assured our timely arrival at all whistle stops.

ABC Smoothie Tour Pulls Into MEC

The ABC Upfront Smoothie Tour blended its way through MEC New York today. The cabbies on 7th Ave. weren't happy that Maui Wowi pulled into the taxi line to unload our stuff, but c'mon fellaa, we gotta make the smoothies!

ABC Smoothie Tour Melds with Mindshare

The ABC Upfront Smoothie tour took to Seventh Ave. today, fighting west side traffic to bring our precious liquid Maui Wowi smoothie cargo to Mindshare. Neither double-parked trucks, crazy drivers from Jersey, no-standing signs nor oblivious pedestrians can keep us from our appointed rounds.

ABC Smoothie Tour Continues at McCann

The heat broke (just a bit) in Manhattan today, but the smoothies were flying off the bar anyway at the continuation of the ABC Upfront Smoothie Tour at Universal McCann. Maui Wowi provided smoothies and saw some old friends from UM who look forward to "ABC smoothie day" every June. And one lucky media buyer won an Apple iPad2!

ABC Smoothie Tour Visits OMD

Today's stop of the ABC Upfront Smoothie Tour was New York's OMD. Maui Wowi provided strawberry/raspberry, cappuccino banana, and pina colada banana smoothies to over 100 media buyers. Amazing views of the re-development of the World Trade Center site. Tomorrow: McCann!

ABC Smoothie Tour Stops at Zenith Media

Maui Wowi's second stop on the ABC Upfront Smoothie Tour 2011 was at Zenith Media in New York. This group of media buyers is always happy to see us and have a smoothie in a cool ABC souvenir cup, but the weather this year definitely cooperated, with the mercury hitting 100 degrees!

ABC Smoothie Tour Rolls into Season 8

The ABC Smoothie Tour with Maui Wowi launched its 8th season, making Initiative our first stop. Every year we visit nine or so ad agencies in New York who buy media for the network "upfronts" -- the fall programming season. Without Maui Wowi smoothies, we wonder if there would be upfronts at all. Or even TV in the Fall! Next stop: Zenith Media tomorrow.
