Every Child’s Dream introduces homeless and vulnerable youth in Suffolk County, Long Island, to cultural, athletic, and social events that they may not encounter as a result of their circumstances. Yesterday was the annual Pirate Back-Pack event on Fire Island. More than 500 kids and scores of volunteers spent a cloudy but mostly rainless day at the beach.
