We are always especially delighted when we bring our smoothies or coffees to a a college for the first time, as we did with Wesley College (Delaware's oldest private college, we learned) this week, for the first of three events.

Thirsty Thursday for St. John's University NYC
St. John's University, we discovered, has an amazing campus building in lower Manhattan! How did we not know this? And they do nice things for their commuter students, like bring in Maui Wowi for their "Thirsty Thursday" events to make them feel like the special people they are.

End-of-Summer Smoothies at Drew University
End of summer celebration at Drew University in Madison NJ, and closing it out with Maui Wowi smoothies was the only way to go. Don't worry, guys. We make hot drinks, too, when you're snowed in come February. We were told by one of the students that Drew has the #1 theatre department in the country, according to the Princeton Review. So we broke out the video camera to and let the would-be Tarantinos have a go. Here's what one came up with. I am only glad that "Stuck in the Middle with You" was not playing on the boombox.

Haverford College Back to School Smoothies
We made a return visit to Haverford College for orientation. Wow! An amazing crush of students, and who can blame them when we are offering the world's greatest smoothies.
Manhattan School of Music: Smoothies on the Hudson
One of the best views in New York is from the Manhattan School of Music's 18th floor terrace. Returning and incoming students stopped by to be greeted by the school's president, Robert Sirota. Our espressos and cappuccinos were great, but the view and summer sunset was even greater. It was also fun to mingle with these brilliant students: one of them, a classical guitar player, turned me on to Pepe Romero, who serenaded us via Pandora on our way home.
Hunter College Carnival/Orientation Event
CUNY's Hunter College held its back-to-school carnival/orientation event last week and Maui Wowi was there to provide the refreshment.
